Feather touch tattooing is the process of making tiny, hair-like stokes in the brow using a manual hand tool. The microblade is made up of a row of tiny probes which scratch through the skin to give the life-like hair strokes and results in natural looking eyebrows.

Combination brows are the technique of using both the manual microblading tool and the digital cosmetic tattoo machine. This method is also known as ombré, or 'shaded' brows.

This technique results in fluffy hair like strokes in the front of the brow then progresses to a tapered powdered tail.

In cosmetic tattooing, a pigment is used instead of ink. The depth of the tattoo also differs where cosmetic tattooing is only implanted into the top dermal layer of the skin.

Before your treatment begins, a comprehensive mapping process will take place where we outline, measure and draw on your perfect brow shape before we start the procedure. The client will have the chance to see and approve the proposed shape. We take into consideration your unique facial features and design the most flattering brow to suit your face. In choosing the best brow colour, your skin tone, hair colour and any personal preference will all be considered. The client is also able to see the colour before procedure begins.

The treatment is completed in two sessions.
First session - 2.5- 3 hours
Second session - 1.5 hours

Feather touch requires an additional colour refresh approximately every 12-18 months to keep those brows looking fresh.

Combination brows and powder brows will need retouching anywhere from 12-24 months.

The quality and longevity of cosmetic tattooing cannot always be guaranteed as some skin tones hold colour longer than others, while others fade leaving a light residue in the skin. Factors that may affect the longevity of your brows include sun exposure, metabolism, oily skin, age and the use of active skin care products such as Retin-A.

Two treatments are required at least 4-8 weeks apart. It is common with most procedures that the colour fades 40-50% after the first week. This is all part of the healing process and as the brows begin to heal, the hair strokes and or powder begins to resurface.

Two anaesthetics are used to numb the treatment area before and during the procedure. It is common that some clients may experience slight discomfort during the procedure but typically find it very bearable.
